SAF-T is a harmonization for a simpler exchange of data with the authorities. SAF-T is a standard defined by the OECD. A total of 19 data areas are defined.

Denmark has chosen to implement the full OECD package with 19 data areas. SAF-T is mandatory by law and one of the main elements of the new Bookkeeping Act. In connection with the new bookkeeping act, SAF-T is one of the biggest challenges.

The SAF-T format is also used when importing to the Danish Business Authority’s so-called Accounts.

In Denmark, companies with Microsoft Dynamics AX are legally required to support SAF-T from 1 January 2025.

If the company has a Microsoft Dynamics AX version 2012R3, it contains an older version of SAF-T.

Attempting to use that version of SAF-T is not recommended.

Our experiences with this solution are not good in terms of speed with large amounts of data, lack of functionality. difficult setup and maintenance of the module, failure to handle OneVoucher in financial records.

Moreover, the version is no longer supported by Microsoft, so new requirements and changes are at the company’s own expense. There is a difference between the individual countries as to how much they implement. Despite the OECD having drawn up a good and usable standard, there are individual variations for the different countries.

Our experience from Norway shows that there are great demands on the speed of the solution when exporting data. The full package with all 19 data areas will place even greater demands on the speed of the solution. If you have a solution that is not supported, you will bear all the development costs yourself.

Multicompany copy functionality

The Multicompany module features copying setup from a selected main company to a selected range of companies, which will set up time and maintenance.
