axsolutions VAT reporting

All companies registered in the VAT register must submit a VAT return. When filled in correctly, it shows how much VAT the company has to pay to the state, or the state has to pay to the company.

The Norwegian Tax Administration (Skatteetaten) launched on January 1 2022 with has a major modernization process within VAT Reporting (VAT area).

VAT reporting submitted by the deadline after 1 January 2022 must be submitted in a completely new format.

The VAT reporting is based on standard SAF-T VAT codes, which means that the customer’s chart of accounts must be adapted to this code system. The change includes standardization of the VAT codes.

The VAT reporting is based in XML format and facilitate digital collaboration. The current VAT reporting with summarized VAT transactions is replaced by reporting with up to 31 Standard SAF-T VAT codes directly from Dynamics AX.

It is be possible to make the reporting manually without using a module.

In order to optimize the work process and minimize errors, we recommend using axsolution’s module. Set up correct VAT file formation delivered in XML format and create a correctly listed file for use when sending to the Norwegian Tax Administration.

If the company has short reporting periods (for example, weekly or 2-week reporting) or large amounts of data, it will be an advantage to automate the MVA report reporting.

The module supports all Dynamics AX versions from AX3.0, AX4.0, AX2009 to AX2012 and we are also ready with a version for Dynamics 365 FO.
